«Many of our trainees we first meet here».
More than 50 companies were present at the “Tag der Berufe” vocational training exhibition in Jessen (Saxony-Anhalt) on January 17. Feintool System Parts Jessen was successfully promoting careers in toolmaking, a demanding qualification for tech-savvy young people.
“This exhibition provides an ideal opportunity to engage with pupils and show that we are a dedicated employer with a future in the region. We are pleased with the positive response, and arrange trial days for potential recruits every year. Many of our former trainees we met here,” says Rainer Bernhardt, who is responsible for training future toolmakers.
Together with an apprentice, the experienced instructor joined the exhibition. At the Feintool stand, 7th to 12th graders were able to immerse themselves in the challenging daily routine of a toolmaker: attaching components and assemblies to complex tools, operating numerically controlled machines, and manufacturing single parts from different materials using tools and machines – everything explained by a young professional.
