Successful Feintool Bipolar Plate and Hydrogen Technology Symposium in Taicang, China
In cooperation with our technology partner SITEC, we proudly look back on a successful Hydrogen Symposium exchanging trends and knowledge at our state-of-the-art joint production site in Taicang, China. With existing and potential new customers, hydrogen technology network representatives and government officials we took a deep dive into the integrated production process at the plant and discussed key success factors for the design and production of metallic bipolar plates for fuel cells and electrolyzers.
“In our rapidly evolving world, sustainable green energy solutions are more crucial than ever,” says Feintool CEO Torsten Greiner, who held the opening keynote in Taicang. “Together we are shaping China’s energy systems of the future – climate-friendly and sustainable. Feintool strives to become a global benchmark manufacturer for metallic bipolar plates and interconnects for fuel cells and electrolyzers.”
The hydrogen symposium was entirely focused on facilitating the exchange of knowledge around the mass production of high-precision metallic bipolar plates. Together with existing and potential new customers as well as third-party hydrogen market experts (incl. Shanghai Jiaotong University) we elaborated on the needs and the further development of the hydrogen industry – with a special emphasis on the function-critical components of Feintool and SITEC. Furthermore, our experts demonstrated the added value of our high-end production process and development pipeline to the interested audience.
CEO Torsten Greiner expresses his delight with what Feintool has accomplished in China: “We are very proud of the joint production site in Taicang, where custom and ready-to-install hydrogen components are produced – leveraging ultra-precise FEIN-forming processes for metalworking, laser welding, coating, sealing and integrated quality assurance within the production line.” Dr. Jörg Lässig, Managing Director of SITEC, adds: “This strong cooperation enables us to provide a full-service chain which is highly wanted on the market. Our joint offering is a state-of-the-art approach to shaping and serving the hydrogen applications market.”
Feintool’s range for hydrogen applications (bipolar plates and interconnects for fuel cells and electrolyzers) marks a decisive contribution to the company’s future-oriented technology strategy, which focuses on components for the generation, storage, and use of green energy.
