Day 1: Fineblanking on a new level with the FB one
From today until Friday, the 15th Blechexpo opens its doors in Stuttgart. At booth 4101 in hall 4, Feintool will be presenting highlights of its core competencies in press construction, fineblanking, e-sheet stamping and forming.
Higher performance, less energy consumption, unmatched ergonomics and connectivity: The FB one is an investment in the future and also one of the main protagonists at the Feintool booth at the Blechexpo. Patrick Vonmüllenen, Key Account Manager, welcomes visitors to the new world of fineblanking.
Whilst the model of the FB one at the Feintool booth is «only» producing chocolate, Patrick Vonmüllenen uses the real control panel to explain to visitors under quasi-real conditions why the FB one heralds a new era in fineblanking. We had the opportunity to ask him some questions.
Patrick, your impression of the first day at the fair?
We are very positively surprised that, despite the circumstances, so many visitors found their way to us. The first day at Blechexpo is usually a bit less busy. But we had intensive discussions and established promising contacts.
What are the success criteria of the FB one from the customer’s point of view?
The FB one is the most modern press generation on the market, a completely new development. Numerous functions have been re-engineerd. The press opens up previously impossible technical, process-related and economic advantages.
What are the specific advantages?
For example, the process-optimized hydraulic direct drive enables shorter cycle times and higher stroke rates with reduced energy consumption. In addition, it uses around 50% less oil with slower oil aging – and it saves a lot of space. The FB one produces in an all-round higher efficiency class.
In which areas of application does the FB one show its strengths particularly well?
Basically, wherever the requirements are: Highest quality at low cost. The automotive industry is undergoing fundamental change. FB one is designed to enable this transformation. It paves the way to highly economical production with maximum flexibility in the applications.
