Final day at the 15th Blechexpo in Stuttgart, where Feintool presented highlights of its core competencies in press construction, fineblanking, e-sheet stamping and forming.

Key Account Manager Volker Drumm explains why forming, as one of Feintool’s core competencies, is an integral part of sustainable mobility solutions – and recaps Blechexpo as such.

1. Volker, how did you experience the Blechexpo, which ends today?

Of course it was a great pleasure to finally be part of a trade show of this size again. Blechexpo is something like a regular event for us, we have been attending the trade show for many years and are always happy to be here. The diverse range of visitors is also exciting. There are machine operators here, there are managing directors here, but there are also vocational school classes at Blechexpo.

2. How was the response?

We are very happy with the response we have had from visitors over the past few days. The public came in large numbers to the Feintool stand, and there was a lot of activity at all times. Visitors also came to the Feintool stand very deliberately, which means that they are generally very quick to engage in technical discussions, which is of course very interesting for us as exhibitors and suppliers because it makes the trade fair productive for us.

3. What did you focus on in the area of forming in the technical discussions?

Feintool aims to play an active role in shaping the transformation process in mobility. Successfully tackling these changes is a major challenge for all stakeholders. Electromobility only works with lightweight construction. Weight reduction leads to greater range for electric cars. This is where our expertise in forming, proven a million times over, comes into play. Using non-cutting forming processes, lightweight multifunctional parts are produced economically in large-scale industrial production. The variety of our components is great: Whether plate and planet carriers, various types of housings or pulleys, we translate our many years of experience and innovative ability to the challenges at hand. Forming as one of Feintool’s core competencies is an integral part of sustainable mobility solutions.
