Feintool as an innovation driver at the IZB.
At the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg (GER) from October 11 to 13, 2022, Feintool presented its range to the trade audience in line with automotive trends. In addition to the engineering and production of high-precision motor cores (rotor and stator packages) for e-mobility, fine-blanked parts such as copper busbars or formed housings for the battery are also suitable for economical and high-quality technology solutions of the future. Feintool sees great potential for hydrogen-powered vehicles for a combination of fineblanking and forming, so-called FEINforming: our unique process produces highly efficient metallic bipolar plates for fuel cells. A crowd puller at the trade fair, as Dirk Ottoberg, Key Account Manager at System Parts Europe, noted on site: «The FEINforming process for the economical manufacture of bipolar plates attracted particular attention from the specialist audience. In addition, we were able to hold promising talks with Continental about components for a new vehicle sound system from Sennheiser and Continental, for which we had already offered fineblanked parts with new design proposals.»
The IZB Wolfsburg
The IZB, with its main topic «Connecting Car Competence», is aimed at suppliers to the automotive industry and enjoys a great reputation in the international professional world. What began in 2001 as an in-house exhibition for Volkswagen AG with 128 exhibitors from six nations and 13,500 visitors, has become a biennial showcase for the international supplier industry. This October, 940 exhibitors from 37 nations presented their products to 43,000 visitors.
The high quality of the exhibitors and the number of decision-makers and top managers among the trade visitors make Europe’s leading trade fair for automotive suppliers an important communication and business platform for the industry and therefor for Feintool as well.
