A head start in logistics with efficient production of e-motors.
JULI Motorenwerk LLC, a joint venture of the Jungheinrich AG and Kion Group, relies on Kienle + Spiess, a business unit of the Feintool Group, to build e-motors. The top management of both companies met on June 14 at the Hungarian plant in Tokod, where the sophisticated rotors and stators are manufactured as core components for e-motors.
Forklifts made by Jungheinrich and Kion (with their well-known brands, Linde & Still) use environmentally friendly electric motor-driven pumps and drives. In Hungary, JULI Motorenwerk LLC has long relied on Kienle + Spiess, which was acquired by the Feintool Technology Group at the end of 2021, to produce the core components of e-motors, rotors and stators.
The managers of JULI Motorenwerk and Feintool discuss the processing procedures for electric motor components.
The top management of both companies took the opportunity to get to know each other personally and exchange ideas about the future. Feintool CEO Knut Zimmer and JULI CEO Pavel Rieder met at the production plant in Tokod near Budapest on June 14. Rieder was pleased: “The acquisition by Feintool makes Kienle + Spiess an even more attractive partner, as its global presence and expertise in the manufacturing industry are a very good fit for JULI. The technological developments and framework conditions for Kienle + Spiess in the global Feintool Group are promising and we see opportunities to further expand our collaboration.ā€¯
During the plant tour, the visitors had a lively exchange of ideas.
With around 440 employees, the plant in Tokod produces rotors and stators for wind energy and other demanding industries. The main focus and expertise are on single notching, aluminum and copper die casting, multi-row stamping, stacking, and welding. The facility uses state-of-the-art technology, such as a high-performance casting system that casts four times, thus guaranteeing a very high output and a solid-state laser system for cutting sheet metal quickly and efficiently with a high degree of precision. In Tokod, the site primarily manufactures components for applications in AC and DC motors, industrial trucks, pumps, and IEC standard motors.
