Focus on megatrend IOT at CCMI 2019.

The 12th annual Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry (CCMI) conference was held mid of November in Taicang. The two-days networking event with about 165 fineblanking experts from 70 companies focused on “Fineblanking lean production” as well as on site visits at CD Waelzholz and IMS Gear.

Feintool is a proud and long-term member of this community. In their speech “The future of Fineblanking in China”, Marc Schneeberger, Head of Global Service and Ms. Chen Li, Sales Manager China North, highlighted the megatrends of the automotive industry. Especially Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data as well as 3D printing may be turned into advantages, if companies are willing to invest and develop. As an example, Marc Schneeberger explained the Feintool services of FEINmonitoring, which is an intelligent analysis and maintenance tool, that continually monitors the technical condition of fineblanking presses. In order to take chance of this megatrend, he summarizes:  “China aims to move away from being the world’s ‘factory’ and move to producing higher value products and services, which cannot be reached without investments in advanced equipment”.

CCMI’s membership consists of forging and sheet metal forming enterprises, research and project planning institutes, universities, equipment manufacturers, material suppliers and other enterprises or organizations related to the forging and sheet metal forming field. Also there are international members from metal forming and related industries. The aim is to promote the progress and prosperity and to serve the common interest of the forging and sheet metal forming industry.

Feintool is an internationally active market leader in the technologies of fineblanking, forming and sheet metal stamping for processing steel sheets.
