Expanding horizons in China: Feintool inaugurates its enlarged production facilities in Tianjin.

More than 120 customers, local authority representatives and suppliers followed the last weeks expansion ceremony of the cold forming plant. The most modernist plant with state-of-the-art equipment, technology of tomorrow and 100 well trained staff reflects a long-term commitment of Feintool in China and a vote of confidence in the Chinese automotive market.

“As a global supplier for the car industry with competence in high-precision and high-volume technologies like fineblanking, forming and e-motor core lamination we are proud to have a strong presence in Tianjin” says CEO Knut Zimmer in his opening message. “We are increas-ing our capacities for our customers drastically to ensure solid future growth to supply China as the world biggest automotive market.”

Feintool Automotive System Parts Tianjin with its 100 employees was established in 2015 and focuses on high-volume production of housing parts for dual-clutch, continuously variable, automatic and direct hybrid transmission for global customers by cold forming process and technology. This technology enables complex part geometries to be manufactured without having to use additional mechanical processes. Every press stroke creates a part ready for assembly. Feintool is also the first plant in China to combine the two precision technologies – fineblanking and forming – thanks to new servo press lines.
