From 26 to 28 November 2019, the exhibition for smart and digital automation will take place for the 30th time in Nuremberg, Germany. Over 1600 exhibitors will present their solutions for the future of automation on a total area of 136,000 square metres.

The 12th annual Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry (CCMI) conference was held mid of November in Taicang. The two-days networking event with about 165 fineblanking experts from 70 companies focused on "Fineblanking lean production" as well as on site visits at CD Waelzholz and IMS Gear.

The 14th of November was dedicated to the youth: On the National Future Day, schoolkids were given a glimpse into the world of Feintool.

Due to the ongoing difficult economic environment, Feintool’s net sales for the first nine months of the 2019 financial year fell by 4.7% in comparison to the previous year (by 3.7% in local currency) to CHF 486.4 million. While net sales in the high-volume parts segment fell slightly by 0.4% to CHF 440.6 million thanks to the acquisition effect of the electro lamination stamping business. Capital goods business suffered a decline of 25.8% due to the reluctance to invest in the market.

Feintool US Operations held its annual customer symposium in Cincinnati on October 16 and 17, 2019. Leading automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers gathered to gain perspective and learn how to enhance productivity in an environment where increased global competition, disruptive technologies, tariffs, and labor disputes are the new normal.

From 9 to 12 October 2019, MAKTEK Izmir, one of the largest machine fairs in the Eurasian region, will open its doors. Feintool will presents its fineblanking portfolio to an expert audience in Izmir, Turkey.

Fineblanked and formed parts are becoming lighter and smaller. At the same time, the demands on their strength are increasing. Likewise, the demand for procedures that improve their performance have increased over the past few years accordingly.

More than 120 customers, local authority representatives and suppliers followed the last weeks expansion ceremony of the cold forming plant. The most modernist plant with state-of-the-art equipment, technology of tomorrow and 100 well trained staff reflects a long-term commitment of Feintool in China and a vote of confidence in the Chinese automotive market.

Feintool has been a close partner of the machine tool laboratory WZL at RWTH Aachen University for many years. At two expert meetings Markus Schaltegger, head of Feintool Technologie AG, will support the WZL’s team with knowledge and our many years of experience innovating in the field of fineblanking technologies.

In a challenging market environment, the technology company Feintool recorded a slight decline in revenue in the first half of 2019, falling by 1.6 percent year over year to CHF 332 million. The decrease in the ongoing parts production and equipment business and negative currency effects were largely offset by additional net sales from the newly acquired electro lamination stamping business and ramp-ups of new parts orders. EBITDA amounted to CHF 34.8 million, and Feintool continues to expect a sustained positive net result for the entire 2019 financial year.

The employees at Feintool System Parts Ohrdruf GmbH welcomed Spain native José with open arms back on September 1, 2015, when he began his training to become a cutting machine operator. He received a traineeship in Germany as a participant in the “The Job of My Life” program. He took advantage of the opportunity and has now successfully finished his training.

Feintool’s 50th XFT2500 system, completed at the company’s Pressing Competence Center in early June, has reached its destination at the customer Kern-Liebers in the Czech Republic. A visibly pleased Managing Director Jaroslav Kopp explains the reasons behind the purchase of the press.

At the lake of Neuchâtel, the colleagues from the production plant in Lyss, spent quality time with their families by networking, listening to music, dancing and tasting self-made delicacies from all over the world.

The XFT2500 press was introduced at EuroBLECH 2010. This year, the 50th one left the Press Competence Center in Jona: The XFT2500 from Feintool Technologie AG has proven to be a success. In Jona, the 50th delivery of the XFT2500 was used for a thank you to all employees involved.

At the industry meeting for manufacturers of electric motors, generators and transformers, Feintool presented itself as a system partner along the entire process chain relating to electro sheet.

Feintool participated at the CTI Symposium in Novi, Michigan, 13-16 May with FeinClutch technology as a high-light. As the premier event for automotive transmission, HEV and EV drives the happening attracts automotive suppliers, transmission manufacturers, and OEMs from North America, Europe and Asia. CTI also featured talks on autonomous driving, NVH, and tools for performance forecasting.
