Sustainable investments secure growth
After years of growth, 2019 was a challenging year for the Feintool Group. The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020 has created additional uncertainties. The complex negative market trends around the world have been accompanied by additional global trends and coincide with a transformation process in the automotive industry.
This also affected Feintool’s business performance in the period from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019, with consolidated sales falling by 6.9 percent to 632.7 million Swiss francs. Operating earnings (EBIT) totaled 18.9 million Swiss francs. The company experienced declines in the United States and Europe, as well as in the presses and systems segment.
