First high performance press FB one 1100 tons goes to Trafime

The Italian based fineblanking company invests in state-of-the-art technology and has ordered the first of the most powerful fineblanking press FB one series with a total force of 1100 tons from Feintool.

Luca Coffa, CEO Trafime, wants to see the best infrastructure and performance in his plants: “Faster stroke rates, highest precision for most accurate tolerances, best flatness and a resource saving production, that’s what we need for being efficient and competitive.” That’s the reason why he decided to invest in Feintool’s latest hydraulic press technology FB one series, that opens the door to new possibilities in terms of cost-effective, high-performance fineblanking for future applications.

Mr. Coffa emphasizes the importance of the press system as a unit: “All elements as the straightener, the press itself, tools as well as removal systems are very important to run the production on such a high standard and output. In terms of overall line effectiveness, Feintool’s FB one was the obvious choice for us.”

The FB one press with a performance of 11’000 kN was built at Feintool’s press-center in Switzerland, will be delivered to the customer in summer 2021 and ramped-up in the plant of Bibbiano, northern Italy.
