Feintool at the Blechexpo Stuttgart Day 3
The message is clear: Feintool can do electromobility
Still until tomorrow Friday, the 15th Blechexpo takes place at the Messe in Stuttgart. At booth 4101 in hall 4, Feintool presents highlights of its core competencies in press construction, fineblanking, e-sheet stamping and forming.
On the third day of Blechexpo, Dirk Ottoberg, Key Account Manager, explains how Feintool successfully combines global customer needs and the highest quality requirements in e-motor lamination and e-core stacks.
1. Dirk, what are the e-sheet stamping highlights at the Feintool booth?
In addition to the exhibits of electrical sheet, for example rotor and stator, what was important first and foremost was our message that comes with it: Feintool is a leader in the production of high-quality electrical sheet and also masters the processing operations such as bending, welding or bonding. Not all of our customers are aware of this, and like the industry as a whole, they are having to deal with the transformation. In this respect, the focus at Blechexpo this year was not (just) on a product, but on the message behind it: Feintool can do electromobility.
2. And the reactions of the visitors?
As already mentioned we have noticed: Word has not yet spread everywhere about how comprehensive our expertise is in the cost-effective production of electrical sheets and sheet stacks - and how flexibly and in line with requirements our technology portfolio can be tailored to customer needs. So far, the Feintool booth has been very well frequented, and in many discussions with TIER1 suppliers we have succeeded in demonstrating that we are already in a position to serve everything that will be electrically powered in the future.
3. From the customer's point of view, what are the success criteria for e-sheet stamping?
For our customers, the global aspect is particularly important, i.e. the possibility of accessing products worldwide with the usual top quality and comprehensive service. At Feintool, we recognized this early on and are therefore in the process of expanding our two sites in Jessen and Taicang into actual electric sheet competence centers. These investments, in the low double-digit million range, not only enable us from a technological point of view, but also send an unmistakable signal to the outside world. Our customers and potential new customers depend on globally positioned and reliable suppliers.
