Due to the ongoing difficult economic environment, Feintool’s net sales for the first nine months of the 2019 financial year fell by 4.7% in comparison to the previous year (by 3.7% in local currency) to CHF 486.4 million. While net sales in the high-volume parts segment fell slightly by 0.4% to CHF 440.6 million thanks to the acquisition effect of the electro lamination stamping business. Capital goods business suffered a decline of 25.8% due to the reluctance to invest in the market.

In a challenging market environment, the technology company Feintool recorded a slight decline in revenue in the first half of 2019, falling by 1.6 percent year over year to CHF 332 million. The decrease in the ongoing parts production and equipment business and negative currency effects were largely offset by additional net sales from the newly acquired electro lamination stamping business and ramp-ups of new parts orders. EBITDA amounted to CHF 34.8 million, and Feintool continues to expect a sustained positive net result for the entire 2019 financial year.

The shareholders of Feintool International Holding AG approved all proposals tabled at its General Meeting on April 30, 2019.

Between January 1 and March 31, 2019, the technology group achieved net sales of CHF 174 million. Adjusted for currency effects, this amounts to an increase of 7.5%. Business of parts production grew – thanks to the acquisition in the field of electro sheet stamping – by 6.7% without exchange rate effects. The capital goods segment recorded an increase in net sales of 9.9% on an already high level.

The technology company can once again look back on a positive financial year: Net sales grew by 11 percent year on year in 2018 to reach CHF 680 million, while operating earnings (EBIT) amount to CHF 48 million. The operating margin stands at 7 percent. The group’s net result increased by 9.9 percent to more than CHF 30 million.

In the first nine months of the 2018 financial year, Feintool increased its net sales by 13.4% (in local currency by 11.0%) to CHF 510.4 million compared to the previous year. Acquisitions contributed CHF 10.5 million or 2.3 percentage points to growth. The high-volume parts segment increased its net sales by 10.3%. The capital goods business confirmed its significant upward trend with a 28.1% increase in net sales.

In the first half of 2018, the technology company increased its net sales by 13.6 percent year-on-year to CHF 337.3 million. In local currency, organic growth amounts to 7.3%. The operating earnings (EBIT) in the same period increased by 14.4% to CHF 25.7 million. Feintool also expects to see positive business development for the year as a whole.
