Every career begins with a single step. With a long-standing tradition of solidly fostering its next generation of skilled young workers, Feintool truly invests in the future. At various sites, the company provides over 100 trainees with a top-notch vocational education. We offer professions in technical and business administration fields. In the United States, Feintool distinguishes itself as the sole government-accredited private enterprise permitted to train and officially qualify tool and die makers.
Over the course of their training programme, trainees enjoy the support and encouragement of their highly qualified instructors. Our forward-looking apprenticeship training contributes to ensuring a pool of professionally qualified junior staffers. We offer trainees a learning and working environment well-geared to acquiring the professional know-how and social skills they need. In return, we expect these talented newcomers to demonstrate a willingness to learn, dedication and quality awareness, as well as enjoyment in pursuing their chosen course of training.
Employee health
Maintaining good health and preventing accidents are issues important to employees as well as to the company as a whole. It is the declared objective at all our company locations to continuously improve working conditions. Topics such as reducing emissions, using more health-friendly operating materials, improving lighting, or orderliness and cleanliness in the workplace are regularly reviewed and, where possible, optimized.
Feintool also promotes the health of its employees by supporting various sporting events and obtaining employee discounts for sports and fitness facilities and offerings.
Well-organized teams for workplace safety
Organized officer teams acting in collaboration with the authorities, police and local fire brigades serve at all Feintool production locations to ensure workplace safety and emergency response. Employees are prepared for a broad range of emergency scenarios by way of regular drills. The security and safety of employees and the company are continually improved through regular training of the officer teams, as well as by numerous minor improvements undertaken at the respective company locations.
During the disastrous flooding at our headquarters in Lyss, Feintool employees joined efforts by fire brigades, emergency response teams, workmen and cleaning contractors to ensure the safety and security of everyone affected and minimize production outages.
