Feintool: a member of the St. Gallen Symposium circle of benefactors
06.02.2012
On 3 and 4 May 2012, current and future political and business leaders will meet at the 42nd St. Gallen Symposium. As a member of the Symposium's international circle of benefactors, Feintool is supporting the event for the second time.
For CEO Heinz Loosli, there is no doubt that "the combination of the expertise of today's leaders and the drive of young talents holds enormous potential. We at Feintool know from our own experience that cross-generational cooperation is the key to facilitating access to new and unconventional ideas and knowledge."
The subject of this year's symposium is "Facing Risk". Risk is something that confronts us in both our personal and our professional environment, presenting us with new challenges every day. We instinctively tend to minimize risk, and find ourselves up against a fundamental contradiction: the world of business shows that higher growth rates and prosperity can only be achieved by a willingness to accept more risk.
At the St. Gallen Symposium, the topic of Facing Risk is examined from four angles which provide an all-round view and highlight the existence and significance of risk both for individuals and for companies. These are:
- "Detecting risk"
- "Risk aversion"
- "Emerging risk"
- "Managing risk"
